Sampling, Sealing and Price Negotiation

Sampling [!]. Samples will likely be requested from several factories, depending on your requirements, including MOQ’s, factory capacity and so on. Fashion Delivered can manage this time-consuming process on your behalf and provide you with options with analysis on the benefits and risks of each option.
As part of the Sampling process, we can help you with:
Techpack Handover - manage the physical on site ‘handover stage’ with the selected manufacturer(s) resulting in samples for review, to confirm style details and initial prices.
Samples & Fitting - We have a tried and tested fit process taking place across the development phase to confirm all style details and correct fit before final amendments are sent to your selected manufacturer. This is to finalise aesthetics, construction and fit before committing to production.
Travel – Ideally, meeting with potential factories face to face with sample analysis and critique can elicit best results. Fashion Delivered can conduct these trips on your behalf either independently or accompanied, assisting your transition into production
Sealing [Process]. To confirming final styling, correct fit, construction of agreed quality, pricing and all fabric and trim ready for your production.
Costing [Strategy]. Costs go hand in hand with sample quality, lead times, minimum order quantities, size of range, factory selection and many other aspects.
Usually at the pre-sampling stage we will discuss what your general requirements are in terms of timescale, development complexity and budget and set these parameters when costing your tailored proposal.
We will be clear and transparent about the technical, ethical and social compliance requirements you’ll need to consider and will provide the necessary expertise to help you make the best decisions possible.
If necessary, your Strategy will culminate in a draft Critical Path bringing together all your Production elements and providing a clear process setting out appropriate next steps so you will always know where you are in the development and production journey.
Price [Negotiation]. Supplier Costings are normally provided after first samples have been recreated when the supplier(s) has been able to establish all the necessary elements within the design.
This is a good opportunity to negotiate and one of our strong points as we have a clear understanding of every part of the garment engineering process - including minimums, lead times, pattern efficiencies, construction techniques, fabrics and so on.
